General information on data processing

We process personal data only where necessary to provide this website, handle enquiries, carry out pre-contractual or contractual measures, or comply with legal obligations. Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

Website delivery and server log files

When this website is accessed, technically necessary access data is processed. This may include IP address, date and time of access, requested page, transferred data volume, browser and device information, referrer URL, status messages and error messages. The processing is necessary to provide the website securely and reliably, detect misuse and fix technical errors. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of the website.

Hosting by Netlify

This website is hosted by Netlify. The provider is Netlify, Inc., 44 Montgomery Street, Suite 300, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA. Netlify processes access data and technical data required to deliver the website. Because Netlify is based in the USA, processing outside the European Union may occur. A data processing agreement with Netlify should be concluded or Netlify's data protection agreement should be reviewed. Further information is available in Netlify's privacy and GDPR notices.

Contact form

If you use the contact form, we process the information you provide: name, email address, optional phone number, preferred language and message. We use this data only to answer your enquiry, prepare a consultation and, where applicable, prepare a non-binding quote. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to pre-contractual measures, and additionally Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in handling enquiries. Form submissions are processed via Netlify Forms. The data may be stored and managed in the Netlify dashboard.

Energy bills and consultation documents

For a substantive review, it may be necessary to process information from a recent electricity or gas bill if you voluntarily provide this information during the consultation. This may include consumption data, contract data, meter or customer numbers, previous costs and supplier information. This website does not provide a file upload function. Please send sensitive documents only if they are required for the consultation. Processing is carried out to take pre-contractual steps or handle your enquiry under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Communication by email and phone

If you contact us by email or phone, we process your contact details and the content of your message to handle the enquiry. The email mailbox is operated via IONOS. Personal data may therefore be processed by IONOS as a technical service provider. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the communication relates to pre-contractual or contractual purposes, and additionally Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

No analytics tools, cookies or external media

According to the current implementation, this website does not use analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Matomo, marketing pixels, YouTube or map embeds, tracking cookies, Local Storage or Session Storage. The site only contains a technically embedded JSON-LD script for search engine information; this is not used for tracking.

Retention period

We store personal data only for as long as necessary to handle the enquiry, provide the consultation or comply with statutory retention obligations. Contact enquiries without a subsequent business relationship are deleted once they have been fully processed and no statutory retention obligations apply. Netlify form entries should be reviewed and deleted regularly once they are no longer needed.

Recipients of data

Personal data is disclosed only where necessary to handle your enquiry, where required by law, or where you have expressly requested it. Technical service providers such as Netlify and IONOS may have access to personal data as part of their services.

Your rights

Subject to the GDPR, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection to certain processing activities. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future.

Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In Rhineland-Palatinate, the competent authority is: Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Rheinland-Pfalz, Hintere Bleiche 34, 55116 Mainz, website: https://www.datenschutz.rlp.de/
